Attack on Titan.
It is probably my 4th or 5th anime that I have watched. When I started watching anime, I took a lot of suggestions on what anime to watch, from my brother. And I specifically told him to suggest me animes that are quite dark. On hearing that, he instantly told me to watch Attack on Titan. I had definitely heard this name before, but had no idea about what it was. Anyways, I took his suggestion, and started watching Attack on Titan.

The First Episode.
I started watching it. I was like "Ok the animation is kinda dark... I like that, I like that..." . Then it happened. The Colossal Titan appeared, when three little friends, Eren, Armin and Mikasa were talking about titans, and everything changed. With Colossal Titan, the Armored Titan appeared as well. Then the most horrific part of the episode came. Eren's mother was not only killed, but EATEN, in front of Eren. This scarred Eren for the rest of his life. And by the end of this episode, it had become my best first episode of any anime ever.

After that, I couldn't stop watching the anime. I couldn't stop watching as the story progressed. I had never seen an anime which packed SO many twists.
As far as I remember, the first twist after the attack on Shiganshina was that Eren was a titan himself.
So... This is what happened. After few years of training, Eren with his team, was attacking titans. While fighting the titans, who were invading Humanity, Eren was eaten by one of them. Just as everyone believed that Eren was eaten and had died, we were proved wrong. After Eren was eaten, we were shown Mikasa being attacked by a titan. That was when another titan came, and started attacking the titan who was attacking Mikasa. Mikasa was completely taken aback by the actions of the unknown titan protecting her, whereas she should have been their food. After beating the titan the titan who was attacking Mikasa, we saw who the titan really was. It was Eren.

After finding out that Eren was a titan, everyone in Humanity was very skeptical in letting him live, but the Scouts(Survey Corps) took him in to make use of him in his titan form. That was when we met the two GOATS of this anime. Commander Erwin and Captain Levi Ackerman.
Erwin was the commander of the Survey Corps and Levi was the captain of the team Eren was assigned to. There Eren was also met with a woman who was COMPLETELY obsessed with titans, and probably the most fun member of the Scouts, Hange.
Survey Corps is the segment who go outside the wall Maria where many abhorrent or abnormal titans lurk. They do this to find out more about titans.
So... After Eren joined the Scouts, a new titan with consciousness appeared. It was the Female Titan. The other conscious titans shown yet were Attack(Eren), Colossal and Armoured.

Very soon, with the help of Armin, everyone found out that the Female Titan was Annie. To get information about titans from Annie, an attempt to capture her had been issued. Eren in his titan form, fought and captured her, but she crystallised rendering her capture useless.
By now, two titan shifters have been found in Humanity.
But the clock was ticking. Reiner and Bertholdt had a job to do.
Attack on Titan season 2 episode 6 : Warrior.
My favorite episode in all of AOT. This was the episode where the big reveal had been shown. The Armoured and the Colossal Titan, who attacked Shiganshina, because of whom Eren's mother was killed and devoured in front of him, were none other than Reiner and Bertholdt.
Around this time, before the reveal, we also found out that there was ANOTHER titan shifter among the recruits. It was Ymir. She was a titan shifter as well. Like... The surprise never ends in this anime.
The way Reiner revealed that he was the Armoured Titan and Bertholdt was the Colossal Titan was so subtle. I had to rewind to believe what I had heard. But when both of them shifted to their titan form, that scene, was nothing short of perfection.

The animation. The music. The emotions. The betrayal. PERFECT.
Heh. The music is playing in my head as I'm writing this. What a masterpiece.
After this we learned that Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie's job was to capture Eren and take him away to their homeland.
While dealing with all these, Humanity encountered the Beast Titan who was roaming around in the Shiganshina district.
So the Survey Corps decided to defeat Beast titan and retake Shiganshina to get to the basement of Eren's house to which he had the keys and which was hiding the real truth behind the titans.
This is Attack on Titan season 3. The best season in my opinion.
In this season I'll skip straight to the part where the Beast titan attacked while the Scouts were retaking Shiganshina. So, When the Scouts lowered their horses from the wall to retake Shiganshina, the Beast Titan appeared, along with hundreds of other titans. The Scouts were trapped. They had only one choice. The recruits had to be the distraction while Levi went from the flanks to defeat the Beast titan. But the recruits were afraid. They were about to give up and run. That was when Erwin gave his legendary speech. Even hearing that now, it sends shivers up my spine. That speech in that moment, changed everyone's hearts and made them dedicate themselves to the future of Humanity.

While the Beast titan was throwing rocks, Erwin with the recruits marched straight towards the Beast Titan, while Levi was flanking it, filled with uncontrollable anger.
Meanwhile, when Levi and Erwin were fighting the Beast Titan, Eren and the others were fighting the Armoured and the Colossal Titan. Here, Eren was able to go toe to toe with the Armoured titan and defeat him. But Armin, who was fighting against the Colossal titan, was struggling. Struggling hard. When Eren came to Armin to help him, Armin gave him a task which complied with his plans. He told Eren to crystallize himself so that Bertholdt from high above would think that Eren is down. Using this, Armin went as close to Colossal Titan as he could as a distraction. And from behind, Eren with his ODM gear slashed the Colossal titans nape and took Bertholdt out. Meanwhile, Armin was burned, his clothes and hair were gone. Barely clinging to life.
By this time, Levi had defeated the Beast titan but the man inside whose name is Zeke Jaeger was taken away by the cart titan. So Levi came back to Eren.
That was when Levi took out an injection which was obtained from the fight between the Scouts and Rod Reiss. It had the ability to turn anyone almost dead, to a titan. And if that titan consumed a titan shifter, they would come back to proper life.
Now there was an argument between two sides... Mikasa and Eren wanted to save Armin; and Levi wanted to save Erwin. While their argument was going on, Erwin was barely alive and was able to hear the conversations. So when Levi came to Erwin with the injection, Erwin swatted his hands way which meant that Erwin wanted Levi to use that injection on Armin. Now of course, Levi couldn't go against Erwin's orders. So he complied. Like... No one can not be a fan of Erwin. That man was GOATed.
So, after using the injection on Armin, he was made to eat Bertholdt who was lying on the roof of a house with his arms and legs amputated. On eating Bertholdt, Armin retured to normal and was speechless after he heard what had happened during he was unconscious.
Now... Finally that day... After years of patience... It has come. Levi and his team went to Shiganshina. To the basement of Eren's house. Only Levi, Hange, Eren and Mikasa went into the basement. There they found out the secrets.

The horrific secrets. The secrets about Paradis, Marley, Eldians. The secrets about how humans were turned into titans. The secret about how Eren got his titan power. EVERYTHING there was to know about titans.
This is where the real question was asked.
Who was the real enemy? Was it the titans? Or was it the humans on the other side?
After retaking Shiganshina, when Historia was crowned the Queen, there was a ceremony where the soldiers from the last war were being given a medal. At that time, when Eren kissed Historia's hand, there was a small clip showm. And THAT was everything Eren saw. His titan had the ability to go back and forward in time and also live the memories of the Attack titans weilders. He saw it all. That's where Eren's plan started to take form.

Shortly after the war we saw that Eren had completely changed. He had nothing resembling a smile. And he had infiltrated Marley and sent letters to his friends to attack on Marley. And when this attack happened, our potato girl, Sasha, was killed. Just when they were celebrating their first victory on Marley.
Like... After season 4 started, there WAS NO right side or wrong side. There were just two sides.
Long after this war started, finally, Eren acted on his plans. He activated The RUMBLING. Millions of Colossal titans, released from the walls of Paradis were following Eren, in his huge Founding Titan form. The stampede was downright ruthless. Old people, women even children were not mercied upon. Everyone simply became a thing to be stepped on.

Now... I'm waiting for the finale. Let see how it's going to be.
